A panoramic and little-known loop route that leads to discovering the wonders of the local flora and fauna.
A loop of absolute panoramic and naturalistic value where human presence, mostly limited to activities related to summer pasture and forestry, integrates well with the surrounding nature. Characterized by the influence of the Mediterranean climate of Garda and the subalpine climate of the Dolomites, the area is rich both in terms of flora and for the presence of many animal species that only the most attentive and silent hikers will be able to see.

Take the forest road SAT461 immediately after the settlement of Cornelle in Fiavè and keep right until loc. Corde where you find the next signpost. Here change to the SAT 462B path. The path follows a forest road and after a short steep stretch you reach loc. Tombus. Continue walking along the flat road that then turns into a path until you reach the forest road coming up from Passo del Ballino. Follow it to loc. Rocchetta, where the gravel road ends and becomes a military mule track that, with constant slopes, climbs up a magnificent beech forest. Once in sight of Malga Nardis, continue along the path that crosses the pasture through the dwarf pines to the hut itself.
After a well-deserved rest, take the SAT 461 path which climbs the pasture north of the hut up to the obvious saddle. From here the panorama becomes even wider and more satisfying, spanning from Lake Garda and Lake Tenno to Monte Baldo, from Pasubio to the Brenta Dolomites, the Adamello Presanella group, and the nearer Ledrensi Prealps. Continue along the ridge staying on path 461 and after a short descent among rhododendrons and alders, you reach Malga Cogorna. Cross the pasture northwards, following the signs for Cornelle, up to the edge of the forest. Here the descent path, still well shaded inside the forest, becomes steeper at times and in a couple of hours will bring you back to the starting point, thus closing a loop that is absolutely rewarding from a landscape and panoramic point of view.
It is recommended, due to the scarcity of water along the route, to carry a good supply of liquids and, given the exposure, to tackle the ascent early in the morning especially during hotter periods. The loop can be tackled in both directions; ascend first to Cogorna if you want to face the more technical uphill section.
The Bleggio area is connected to the other Garda Trentino centers by the extra-urban bus line 211 (Riva del Garda - Tenno - Fiavè - Ponte Arche). Stop: Fiavè center, then continue on foot.
From Ponte Arche/Comano Terme continue on the SS 421 towards Fiavè (7 km). Then follow the direction "Bleggio" and take the road to the hamlet of "Cornelle".
Parking in the square of Fiavè (continue on foot towards Cornelle) or along the road in the locality of Cornelle.
Mountain hikes require specific clothing and gear. Even for relatively short and easy outings, it is always better to be well equipped to avoid unpleasant surprises and to face unexpected events like, for example, a sudden storm or a drop in energy.
What to bring for mountain trekking?
In your backpack (for a day hike, a 25/30L pack is generally recommended) it is good to bring:
Wear footwear suitable for the route and the season. The surface of the trails can be uneven or rough, and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from twists. A grassy slope, a rock slab or a steep path, if wet, can become dangerous without proper footwear.
Finally... don't forget the camera! It will be useful to capture the hike and the countless breathtaking views that Garda Trentino hides around every corner. If you want to share your memories with us, you can use the hashtag #GardaTrentino
